Creating a New Upgrade Package

Upgrade packages can be made for purchase by Exhibitors, Attendees, or other custom users.  

 

In your event's dashboard:

  •  In the navigation menu, hover over Set Up and select Packages. 
  • Select New Upgrade Packages. 

  • Select the package type from the dropdown menu.
  • Fill out the required fields. 
    • Name, Description, Price, and Status are required. 
    • Charge Type will be a required field if Booth is the type selected. 
  • If applicable, fill out the optional fields. 
  • Select Save. 

All upgrade package fields are defined below: 

  • Upgrade Type
    • Online The upgrade is only available for exhibitors. 
    • Booth - The upgrade is connected to the floor plan. 
      • You will need to select the Charge Type from a dropdown that appears with this option. 
    • Attendee This upgrade is available only for attendees. 
    • User - Exhibitors, Attendees, or any type of user can select this upgrade.
  • Name - The title of the upgrade that will appear to the end-user. 
  • Description - Details about the upgrade. 
  • External ID - The unique identifying number for the upgrade. 
  • Is a Heading - A heading is a row in the packages table that is only for display purposes.
  • Price - The cost of the upgrade. 
  • Maximum Purchases - The maximum number of purchases of this package that may be made in total for the event.
  • Maximum Purchases Per User - The maximum number of purchases of this package that may be made per user.
  • Status - Active or Disabled. 
    • Active - The upgrade is visible to admin and end-users. 
    • Disabled - The upgrade may not be selected by admin or end-users. Packages may be disabled, but cannot be deleted.  
  • Is Hidden - If selected, a package is only visible to admin but not end-users. 
  • Items - The items accessible to the user after this package has been purchased.
  • Step Ups - Makes the package available as an add-on item to another package. 
    • If the price is left blank, it defaults to the difference in the prices of the packages.
    • The Unlimted option lets the end-user purchase the step up as many times as desired. 
  • Must Purchase Via Step Up - If this box is selected, the package can only be purchased as a Step Up item. 
  • Restrictions - Adds a minimum number of purchases to the package. 
  • Installments - Allows payments to be made in smaller increments with due dates. Can specify either by percentage or flat amounts.
  • General Ledger Code - A dropdown selection of the General Ledger Codes that have been added.
